Join us for a glorious evening of pottery fun at the lovely Belvedere Pub in Weymouth. Learn how to make your own groovy wonky glazed pots with POTS N PINTS‘ Anna.

We will kickstart the workshop with a pinch pot and coiling demonstration, before you’re let loose to get messy and creative, adding your own flare and personality to your project. Chose to make a vase, mugs, cups, soap dishes, candle sticks + more! Potter Anna will be on hand to help you execute your wildest ideas and make sure nothing explodes in the kiln!* fingers crossed!

All abilities welcome – the workshop is suitable for total beginners and more experienced potters alike, aged 14 years+!
Ticket price includes 1kg stoneware clay, firings, basic clear gloss glazing and a complimentary drink from the bar!!
At the end of the session, your pots will be taken away to be dried and fired to over 1000*C, when they’re ready for a choice of finishes:

A. Clear gloss stoneware glaze: Highlight the natural beauty of the speckled tan coloured clay with a clear gloss glaze that will make your pots water tight and food/drink safe! (included in the ticket price)
B. Coloured glaze: Choose from a selection of coloured glazes that will make your pots POP. Price varies depending on colour/finish. All glazes are food safe and water tight!
C. PAINT: Return for a second session (4 weeks later) and use a rainbow of high quality underglaze paints to add beautiful illustrations, colour and pattern to your pots. After painting your pots will be taken away to be glazed with a clear gloss glaze and re-fired to bring out those yummy colours.
No need to choose now, you’ll be able to decide once you’ve finished your pots!

Clay making is a slow process, and can take 4 – 6 weeks to be returned to you after firings, painting and glazing. All November makes are guarenteed to be home for Christmas, but December sessions are cutting it fine. Book in earlier to avoid disappointment!

You will have plenty of clay to make an elaborate vase, a set of mugs, or a collection of smaller homewares. If you want to go HUGE extra clay can be purchased at £12 per kilo – please let me know in advance.

Please be aware that clay is messy! Please don’t wear your Sunday finest. Aprons and gloves are not provided – please bring them if you require them.
The session is run by POTS N PINTS’ Anna – who has over 7 years ceramic experience; studying Craft at Brighton University and working for the legendary Brickett Davda, before returning to Weymouth to set up her own ceramic studio and run workshops – POTS N PINTS.
