The Beaches of Dorset – Boscombe Pier
A sloping sandy beach considered safe for bathing. Family friendly with a Kidzone area. Wide range of seafront activities including windsurfing, surfing, canoeing and amusement arcades. Land train service runs the length of the seafront. The water quality is MCS Recommended and is European designated bathing water.
There is a lifeguard service here between May and September. The south facing beach is popular for surfing as well as bathing and sea kayaking. There are amusements and entertainments on the pier. There is also a promenade stretching towards Bournemouth town centre. Dogs not allowed on certain areas.
It’s a 30-minute walk to Bournemouth Pier from Boscombe.
