Bridport offer weekly Wednesday and Saturday Markets, including a Farmers’ Market, Vintage and Antique Market and Vegan and Craft Market.
The markets take place in Bridport’s three main streets throughout the year, from 8am until mid-afternoon.
Bridport’s large street market has a good selection of stalls selling foodstuffs, clothing and hardware, flowers and plants, pictures and paintings, books and IT goods… and much more. Many of the traders are long-established and use the distinctive Bridport Market bags when selling their goods.
The Saturday market is particularly popular with traders, a special attraction is the large number of antique and Bric-a-Brac stalls located in lower South Street.
Farmers’ Market
The Farmer’s Market is held on every second Saturday of the month on Barrack Street & in the Lyric Theatre, open from 9am until approx. 2pm. This market is run independently of the Street Market. The Farmers Market offers a variety of local fresh, often organic goods. Many of the traders are members of the Bridport Local Food Group, which also organises the annual summer Bridport Food Festival at Asker Meadows.
Bridport Vintage and Antique Market
Bridport Vintage and Antique Market takes place on the last Sunday of the month from March – October at the St Michael’s Trading Estate. Bridport Vegan and Craft Markets
Bridport Vegan and Craft Markets are held every third Saturday of the month on Barrack Street and in the Lyric Theatre, open from 9am until approx 2pm. The vegan and craft market offers a variety of Ethical food and drink along with lovely handmade arts and crafts.
