Join us for a weekend celebrating the wonders of wildlife migration, conservation and rewilding this February Half Term!

From the 14th – 16th of February, Careys Secret Garden will be hosting ‘Migration Festival Part 2: Nature On The Move’ in the beautiful grounds of the Carey Estate where we will take a deep dive into the incredible journeys of nature and the efforts to protect and restore it.

What to expect:

Inspiring Talks and Discussions – Learn from passionate experts about the fascinating world of wildlife migration and the groundbreaking conservation projects making a difference. Discover how rewilding initiatives are breathing new life into ecosystems both here in Dorset and around the globe.

Nature-themed Arts and Crafts – Handcrafted goodies inspired by the beauty of nature. From sustainable gifts to wildlife-themed art, meet wonderful and talented artisans. The market will be open from 11am – 4pm on Friday and Saturday.

Films and Documentaries – Immerse yourself in wildlife-themed films and documentaries that showcase the awe-inspiring stories of species on the move and the challenges they face, there’s something for the whole family!

Connect and Explore – Engage with both local and global wildlife charities and organisations. Learn how you can support conservation efforts in your community and beyond. Enjoy the beautiful backdrop of Careys Secret Garden as you connect with like-minded nature enthusiasts.

Family Fun – On Saturday there will be a FREE Migration Nature Trail around the garden for children to explore, plus we’ll be turning on the illuminations at dusk so you can see the gardens in a new light! Please bring a torch if you’re staying for the evening.

Don’t miss this celebration of nature’s resilience and the remarkable efforts to protect it. Let’s move conservation forward – together.

Please note that all visitors will require a General Admission Ticket. Additional workshops, talks and presentations may incur an additional cost to participate, 100% of the profit from these tickets is paid directly to the workshop leader/host.

Your General Admission ticket includes access to the walled garden and craft market. Please car share where possible as parking is limited. Please book a car park space if you are bringing a car. We also recommend reading our general terms and conditions, and accessibility guide before booking, these can be found in the footer of our website.
