Hey Clay! Raku Demonstration
A free raku ‘glaze and fire’ demonstration as part of Hey Clay! 2020. Come and glaze a small pot and help fire it in our raku kiln. Be prepared for a bit of flame and a lot of smoke! You will take away the pot you decorate and help fire. You will probably have seen this done on the Great Pottery Throwdown… what the TV doesn’t show you is that you will go home smelling like a bonfire 🙂
Workshop is free – we are hoping to get a bursary this year to cover costs – but small donations would be welcome if we are unsuccessful. Each firing takes about an hour, and we can work with about six people at any one time, so please book your slot – details below.
Not suitable for unaccompanied children under 14.
