CROWDFUNDER: SAVE OUR SEAFAIR ARTISTS

Details

Arts organisation SEAFAIR has launched a Crowdfunder campaign to raise money for its members

Why is help crucial?
Here’s the (not so) funny thing. Socially-engaged artists are just that, social. What’s the problem? Well, being social isn’t possible right now!

Workshops, events and gatherings in the community have all been cancelled or postponed with so many dates still not yet confirmed. Arts have moved online and are helping to keep people’s spirits up.

Most SEAFAIR artists are freelancers who rely on work with communities in all sorts of social situations; inevitably, that work ceased overnight and left them with no income, unable to pay bills, buy amenities and support themselves and their families. They need financial and practical help now.

SEAFAIR is a new and fresh arts organisation just starting to bloom in the southwest. It offers support for artists by artists, especially invaluable during this emergency. That’s why it’s launching this Crowdfunder SAVE OUR SEAFAIR ARTISTS.

How can you help?
Your generous donations will go to these artists who have been directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, to help them in this time of crisis and ‘replace’ some of the income they have lost. In return it gives you some creative positivity.

People are now invited to help the fundraising by pledging their support. In return for each pledge, there is something for everyone – prints, workshops, business advice. Rewards are from as little as £2 for an audio postcard by Megan Dunford up to £1800 for a wax cast head by Andrea Crociani. To pledge your support for SEAFAIR go to https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/save-our-seafair-artists

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram: @seafair.info or Twitter: @SeafairA to be kept up to date with new rewards, our Crowdfunder progress and future events.
