A Thin Line to Colour Exhibition
Details
A Thin Line to Colour Exhibition at the Red House Museum and Gardens
‘A Thin Line to Colour’ is a mixed media exhibition from artist Miroslav Lucan, also known as LucanArt.
In his work, Lucan finds inspiration in the history of places, important figures from the area, architecture, inventions and the old technologies. Living by the sea, his work also often references marine life and the dynamic nature of the coastal environment. His designs are bold, both in terms of strong block colour, but also with his use of line, bringing in illustrative elements – a reminder of his drawing and architectural background.
Miroslav Lucan is a Czechoslovakian born, UK based artist, designer and photographer, specialising in street art, murals and illustration. This exhibition follows the journey from Lucan’s early days working as a fine art pencil artist to more contemporary work.
To contrast the distinctive black and white style of his illustrative work, Miroslav also presents here a selection of photography inspired by the coastal and historic landscape around him, from bright vivid sunset colours to dark stormy days, they are a celebration of the local area.
Print’s will be available for sale, both framed and unframed.
Admission to the exhibition is free.
