Lino Block Printing on a Tote Bag with Sarah Robinson

Learn the art of making your very own beautiful decorative linocut design to hand print onto an organic cotton tote bag.

In this fun and creative workshop you’ll get to choose a design and will then be shown how to transfer it onto a piece of lino. The carving and inking of the block will be clearly demonstrated and, finally, you’ll print your carved design onto your bag. Tote bags will be provided along with all the tools and materials you’ll need on the day – these include a traditional lino block which is already mounted onto a piece of wood, some carving tools and a range of coloured inks. As well as your printed bag, you’ll also be able to take your carved lino block home to use again. Everyone will have an information sheet with a list of suppliers for the materials used and also instructions on how to heat set your new creation.

There may also be the opportunity to purchase some extra supplies on the day (cash payments only).
