Iron Age people of Dorset
Details
Archaeologists from Bournemouth University have been excavating near Winterborne Kingston since 2009. Over time they have uncovered a wealth of new information about the people who inhabited this landscape centuries before and after the Roman Conquest. Dr Martin Smith will present the project’s latest findings, including some exciting results from analysis of DNA that reveal the people of Iron Age Dorset were a unique group with a highly distinctive identity.
