Dorset History Centre – From the Stacks

On the last Wednesday of each month, Dorset History Centre will be hosting a short talk about some of our fascinating records led by one of the team.

We will be showing off a range of different records from our collections to give visitors a better idea about what we hold, some of the stories you can discover, and the different record types that there are within our repositories. Our records date from 965 to 2025 and cover a large range of topics, including family history, house history, business records and social clubs. Each talk might not have a theme, but we hope that they will all be interesting!

Each talk will last between 15 and 30 minutes – we hope this will be ideal for those who might want to escape the office at lunchtime; or who are already in Dorchester for the regular market day; or indeed for anyone else who might like to join us!
