This scenic live webcam if from Christchurch harbour entrance, known as “The Run”. The view is from the Black House at Mudeford Sandbank, a sandy peninsula with a beach and paths offering vast ocean views. To the north of the entrance is Mudeford Quay.

The natural harbour is a site of special scientific interest, a 352-hectare (870 acre) area that includes the estuaries of the Stour and Avon rivers and the Hengistbury Head peninsula. The area is great for sailing, canoeing, rowing, and windsurfing — it’s also an excellent place for birdwatching.
