The route is approx 4 miles (7 km) with opportunities to extend the route if you want to walk for longer than a couple of hours. You can easily loop out around the tank museum at Bovington and come back via East Burton.
Many a happy hour can be spent playing in the Ford at Moreton, which is shallow and wide. People bring boats, kids fish and dogs paddle – bring a towel! Be warned though, in hot weather it can be really busy and parking becomes interesting in such a small village.
If you use a GPS device or mapping application on your smart phone, such as OS Maps, you can use this GPX file to follow the walk.
