This October half term, Swanage Railway invites you to step into a magical Halloween world. Join us aboard the Ghost Train for a family-friendly adventure filled with gentle spooks, laughter, and memories that last.

What’s in store?
Expect theatrical surprises, magical moments, and plenty of fun. From Norden Station, hop onto our heritage steam train, splendidly decorated for the season. Our friendly witch will delight guests with spine-tingling tales as you journey, while glowing pumpkins and ghostly sights pass by your window. Don your best Halloween costume – grown-ups are welcome to dress up too! Tasty seasonal treats await before you board.

Designed with families in mind, the Ghost Train promises excitement for all ages: little ones will love the decorations and costumes, older kids can soak up the immersive atmosphere, and adults can simply enjoy the ride and watch the wonder unfold.

Event details:
Running from Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November 2025, with departures at 12:45, 14:15, 15:45, and 17:15. Journeys begin and end at Norden Station, lasting roughly one hour.

Tickets cost £22 for adults and £15 for children, with under 3s and carers travelling free.
