Shroton Village Fete

The Shroton Village Fete will take place from 12.30 to 16.30 on Saturday, 13 September 2025, offering an afternoon of traditional fun and entertainment. Regarded as a key highlight of the local calendar, the fete brings residents and visitors together on The Glebe and in and around the Village Hall for a day brimming with music, games, camaraderie, and friendly competition.

Event Highlights
There will be a variety of classic stalls and activities, including barbecue, raffle, tombolas, craft and produce stalls, book sales, and a tempting selection of homemade cakes. A bar and tea room will be available, and there will be toys and books for children. The programme also features steam engine rides and a much-loved family dog show.

Entertainment and Competitions
The event promises lively entertainment, with live music, a line dancing display, and the popular samba band Fowl Play setting a festive tone. The fete’s renowned Pantomime Dame competition sees villagers don flamboyant outfits to compete for the title of Miss Shroton, a spectacle that has quickly become a favourite with crowds. Traditional games, including the ever-popular tug-of-war, further contribute to the fete’s vibrant atmosphere.

Community Spirit
