Formed in 2017 Elvis McGonagall and His Resurrectors are an unholy marriage of radical stand-up poetry and Caledonian punkabilly rock ‘n roll. The band’s debut album “Gie It Laldy!” was released on Bar-Ox Records in 2018 on CD. It’s available to buy at gigs and can be listened to and downloaded on Bandcamp. Their 4-track EP “Burstin’ Oot in Fairy Lights” was released on the same label in 2021.

Stand-up poet, armchair revolutionary and walking shortbread tin Elvis McGonagall resides at The Graceland Caravan Park somewhere in the middle of nowhere where he scribbles verse whilst drinking Scotch, listening to Johnny Cash and throwing heavy objects at his portable telly. Two series of his sitcom “Elvis McGonagall Takes A Look On The Bright Side” have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 where he appears regularly. Prepare yourself for dazzling Weltschmerz, satirical verse and anarchic wit as Elvis bellows into the void of our post-truth world. Fake news. Artisanal novichok. Piers Morgan. Yes, the good ship lollipop is sailing down the shi*t*r. Climb aboard with Elvis as he spits his scurrilous diatribes against the powers that be. Elvis McGonagall has suffered for his poetry.
