Dorset’s Knob Throwing Festival 2025
Dorset’s Knob Throwing Games are back, there new home will be at the 63rd Cattistock Countryside Show held on Sunday 10th August.
Experience one of Dorset’s most eccentric and much-loved traditions: the Dorset Knob Throwing Games! This unique event invites contestants to hurl traditional Dorset Knobs—crunchy, biscuit-like bread rolls—down a grassy arena, aiming for the farthest throw.
Alongside the main challenge, there’s a hilarious line-up of knob-themed games for all ages, including the knob and spoon race, guess the weight of the big knob, and “pin the knob on the Cerne Abbas Giant.”
