Support Dorset’s Heritage at the Museum’s Summer Book Sale
Dorset Museum & Art Gallery in Dorchester will host its annual Fundraising Book Sale on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August 2025, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The much-anticipated two-day event will take place in the Museum’s Victorian Hall, offering thousands of high-quality second-hand books at excellent prices.
Visitors can expect a wide selection of hardback and paperback fiction and non-fiction books, including works on Dorset’s history, art, music, travel, gardening, and more. The sale caters to all ages and interests, with free entry for all attendees.
In line with sustainability efforts, visitors are encouraged to bring their own bags. All proceeds will support the museum’s ongoing care, conservation, and preservation of Dorset’s cultural and historical collections.
Donations of good-quality second-hand fiction and children’s books are welcome until Friday, 15th August 2025. Please note, non-fiction donations cannot be accepted this year. Donations can be delivered to the museum during opening hours.
