The final days of Susan Cox’s residency bring art workshops and exhibitions to Sandy Hill Arts, while Weymouth’s seafront lights up with a lower-noise firework display on Monday evening. Tuesday offers animal encounters in Poundbury and discover the secret world of fungi in Scratchworks Theatre’s engaging family show at Alderholt Village Hall.
Midweek brings hands-on bushcraft for children at The Blue Pool, the lively Pirate Invasion at Wareham Wednesday, and the prestigious Melplash Agricultural Show in Bridport. Evenings promise more spectacle, from Poole Quay fireworks to open-air Shakespeare on Brownsea Island.
As the Bank Holiday approaches, Dorset showcases even more: BeCider Seaside Festival, classic car nights continue on Poole Quay with Minis & Minors, outdoor cinema at Corfe Castle, and Friday night fireworks in Bournemouth.
