Description and Information

The Lawrence of Arabia Trail is a circular walk, starting at the quiet village of Moreton, crossing the Ford and taking in Lawrence of Arabia’s home at Clouds Hill and also his last resting place in the cemetery at St Nicholas church in Moreton.

The route is approx 4 miles (7 km) with opportunities to extend the route if you want to walk for longer than a couple of hours. You can easily loop out around the tank museum at Bovington and come back via East Burton.

Many a happy hour can be spent playing in the Ford at Moreton, which is shallow and wide. People bring boats, kids fish and dogs paddle – bring a towel! Be warned though, in hot weather it can be really busy and parking becomes interesting in such a small village.
