Planet Purbeck wishes to offer the Royal Family its sincere condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. During our upcoming festival, Planet Purbeck will honour our late Queen by asking all event hosts to hold a minute’s silence at the beginning of each event until her funeral, and by pausing all events on the day of the funeral.
Her Majesty loved the countryside and nature; her final days were spent at a place she felt deeply at home. The Planet Purbeck Festival in Celebration of Land, Sea and Community, feels like a fitting way to honour her lifetime’s passions and commitment to public service.
Get ready for another 200+ fun and informative events across Purbeck. There will be music, arts films, talks, tours, kids activities, local food and drink themed around protecting and enhancing the natural world of Purbeck. There will be something for everyone!

About the Festival
The first-ever Planet Purbeck Festival took place over one week in September 2021 to an audience of over 1000 people. We gathered together the best sustainable businesses and organisations from all across Purbeck to give our festivals goers a choice of over 200 events during this period. Activities ranged from nature walks and workshops to inspirational talks on community projects and the science behind our environmental crisis.
