POTS N PINTS MUG MAKING Pottery Workshop at The Belvedere
POTS N PINTS MUG MAKING Pottery Workshop at The Belvedere, Weymouth!
Learn ancient pottery techniques in this slow-paced, intimate, Mug Making Workshop run by POTS N PINTS Anna.
Join POTS N PINTS’ Anna for an intimate evening of pottery loveliness at The Belvedere Inn in Weymouth. We’ll be taking things nice and slow, with step-by-step tutorials of how to make your own stoneware mu… You’ll have enough clay to make 3 coffee mugs or 2 supersize mug, perfect for boozy hot chocolates. If a pair of mugs aren’t really your jam – you can opt for a vase, egg cups, shot glasses, soap dishes, candle sticks, tapas bowls or even a TEAPOT if you‘re feeling ambitious! Anna is on hand and after the initial tuturial will be at your peckoning call for any ideas you may want to throw her way.
We’ll be using a delicious stoneware clay that is warm in colour, with a slight freckle. As standard, we’ll be glazing your mugs with a glossy transparent glaze, this will make them water tight and food safe – ready for a lifetime of use and love!
If you’d like to add some colour to your mugs, book in at the next session to paint them! We’ll have high quality ceramic paints ready for you to use, in a rainbow of colours – these are put onto the mugs before the glaze, so theirs no chance of them rubbing off or fading over time. Painting will cost £10. To book a painters spot, select a date AFTER your potting date, and use the promocode PAINT at checkout to get your £10 painters ticket.
Anna is potty about pottery, and has a good few years of experience under her belt, so will be more than equipped to help fulfil whatever goals you may have. Prior to returning to Weymouth she studied Ceramics at university and worked for the legendary Brickett Davda – producing high end ceramics & tableware, where she learnt lots of tips and tricks to making pottery that is loveable + perfectly functional.
As always, the first drink is always on us!
