Local Amateur Theatre Society Launches Legally Blonde!

SNADS upcoming production of Legally Blonde Jr, The Musical, promises to be an evening of enjoyment for all the family. Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The shows instantly recognisable songs are filled with humour, wit and sass, leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink!
Legally Blonde Jr follows Elle Woods, a fashionable sorority president, as she tackles Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, Warner. She initially faces prejudice and stereotypes but ultimately discovers her own legal talent and the importance of self-empowerment. She learns to embrace her intelligence and individuality, making new friends and finding love along the way.

Director Sophia Olford and Co-Director Lina Felsa, aged 17 and 16, have spent the last 2 months creating a production that showcases the talent and determination of the younger members of the society. Their hard work shines through in every number, as described by Director Sophia Olford;
‘We’re really excited to show you what we’ve been working on these last few months. It’s a compilation of singing, dancing and young people performing together and having fun! We would love you to come and support us and hope you have as much fun watching as we have had putting it on.’
Legally Blonde Jr opens at The Exchange from Thursday 3rd July until Saturday 5th July.
