Ancient Technology Centre – Natural Dyeing Workshop
We would like to invite you for another natural dyeing workshop at Ancient Technology Centre!
Discover the colourful world of Vikings and Saxons clothing. Learn how to dye fibres with plants like from 1000 years ago. Try popular dyestuffs including madder, weld and woad. Observe effects on different fibres such as silk, linen and wool.
Dyeing will be performed in early medieval pottery on an open fire.
All participants will receive sets of samples to take home.
